Aloha!
Why should you exfoliate? It helps the regeneration process, this is the process in which
our body sheds old skin cells and makes new ones. These old skin cells stay on
the top of your skin, which makes your skin look dull and makes moisturising
less effective because it can’t penetrate the skin properly. Also, a build-up
of dead skin cells and oil can lead to clogged pores SO let’s get scrubbing!
All you need for this homemade, all natural body scrub is
caster sugar, olive oil and a tub to store it in. Firstly put some caster sugar
in a bowl, this will form the bulk of the scrub. Caster sugar is best because
it isn’t as rough as granulated sugar but it is rough enough to remove dead
skin cells and polish your skin. Next, add the olive oil, a little at a time,
whilst mixing. Keep adding until it’s at the consistency that you want. Olive
oil is amazing for the skin; it is highly moisturising, making skin soft,
supple and radiant.
Now it’s time to scrub! You can use this a few times a week
in the bath or shower. I step into the shower, then step out again and massage
it all over my body, I then rinse and instantly have silky, moisturised skin.
So next time you wanna splash out on a new body scrub, think
again and try this! You probably already have the ingredients in the cupboard
so you have nothing to lose!
